Stitching Room Needfuls

Good Thursday to you all!

I love what I do and while I'm having so much fun,I still have to consider marketing and sales n'such. My golden question is, "What do customers want to buy?" Like many of you,the first question I ask myself is, "Well, what do I buy?" Since money is tight right now, I (usually) only buy what I need, which is mostly useful household items. So, if I need a new iron, I'll buy that and skip the extra pair of black shoes that I really really want, but do not really need because I already have too many black shoes! (Weird I know-I don't know what it is with me & black shoes, but I love them!) So, currently I am working on items that are useful to everyday life. You can find these items in my "Needfuls" column on the left hand side on my website.

Recently, I needed a new pinkeep. I just couldn't stand looking at that ugly tomato one I've had for years! So, I thought that I make a really special one for myself and offer it to you as well! I have 3 in my 1800's Pinkeep collection:Prairie Blossom, 1874 Stitching Room and Early Bird Pinkeep. They are all handmade here in Pennsylvania with lovely vintage reproduction fabrics and adorned with vintage buttons. These fabrics are referred to by a few names such as prairie print, calico print or civil war print fabric and you can choose a color family when ordering. I had so much fun stitching these up and I hope you enjoy my new pin keep collection. More useful "needfuls" are in the works and I can't wait to present them to you! Until next time...

I like to name my primitive dolls and ornies after important people in my life that are still with us and some that have passed and I usually include a story about them on my website http://www.primcrowstudio.com/. It allows me to honor them and feel closer to them as well.

I just finished this Valentines Day Angel doll. Her name is Angel Jocelyn, after my daughter. Shes really sweet and has lots of details! I made this doll using a Peddler Hill Primitives pattern!

Hi Everyone! Hope the New Year is bringing you lots of blessings! Prim Crow Studio newsletter is pretty late because I've been really busy on new products and when I sent it out there was a glitch, so here's a new one just in case. Thank you for taking the time to read our newsletters!

Times are tough right now, but I truly feel that 2009 will bring great changes! Lets keep our chins up and stay positive. The current economic crisis is hitting us all. It seems there are rising costs everywhere. The USPS will increase shipping fees this month, but my raw material suppliers have been increasing since before summer. While I've been trying to keep our product prices LOW, its been very difficult. I do research pricing regularly and I must say that our prices are pretty low and very competitive! Take for instance our cinnamon buns tarts. We sell a half of a pound for $5.95, where as others sell just 12 for $5.95+. Wow and we use the best high quality raw materials and fragrance oils! So, please keep Prim Crow Studio in mind for all your home and body care needs. Plus purchasing from the USA helps our economy and our products are not mass-produced! Your one-of-a-kind so why not buy one-of-a-kind!

Store Bought Soap Versus Prim Crow Studio Soap

You just bought another hard bar from Wally World made with some really nasty, yucky chemicals. Sure it smells nice and lathers up real nice too, but how does your skin feel. Does it feel hard and dry like the dessert soil? Where was that bar made and by whom?
